Alex Wexler

Intern

Alex Wexler is a rising senior at Haverford College in Pennsylvania majoring in Political Science with a dual minor in Anthropology and Film, and a concentration in Peace, Justice, and Human Rights. Alex joined Peloria’s team out of an interest in AI’s capacity to mitigate social tension and conflict which is an extension of her overarching passion for social justice. Alex’s involvement in social justice work abroad began in high school where she was deeply involved with a global NGO which worked to install menstrual pad machines in rural India, with the aim of increasing school attendance amongst young girls. She was later involved in the production of a documentary about the project titled, “Period. End of Sentence”. Alex’s work in the community has continued in Philadelphia where she volunteers as a tutor for local middle school students, and works closely with communities impacted by homelessness. In addition to interning for Peloria, Alex is spending her summer as a file clerk for Rains, Lucia, Stern, PC. Alex will be pursuing her passion for global politics in the upcoming year during the production of her senior thesis, and she hopes to continue this work well into the future.
