Christopher Trisos
Head of Climate Science
Dr. Trisos is the director of the Climate Risk Lab at the African Climate and Development Initiative. The lab integrates data and methods from environmental and social sciences to help inform rapid, just, and equitable responses to the climate crisis. Current research questions include ecological disruption from climate change and how to manage risk across interconnected social and environmental systems. He has published on climate change risks to people and ecosystems in high-profile journals such as Nature and Nature Climate Change, and is a Coordinating Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 6th Assessment Report. He has also consulted on climate change adaptation for the World Bank, was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center at the University of Maryland, and earned a doctorate in Zoology from Oxford University.
